The English Ladies' Golf Association (ELGA) was formed in 1952 to be responsible for the administration of Women's and Girls' amateur golf in England.  

It changed its name to English Womens' Golf Association (EGWA) in December 2007 and continues to promote Womens' and Girls' amatuer golf in England through the organisation of the English Womens', Seniors' and Girls' Championships and International teams.
