The Hampshire, IOW & CI Golf Partnership was established to co-ordinate one development plan for golf in Hampshire, which mirrors the national "Whole Sport Plan'. As a result of establishing the plan and the CGP, golf attracted investment from Sport England (the agency through which the government implements its sports policy and its investment in all sport in England.)
Activities
The Hampshire, IOW & CI Golf Partnership's main aims during its development have been as follows:
- Establish a volunteer workforce to assist in the delivery
- Obtain sufficient funds to appoint paid staff (i.e. County Development Officer) to cater for the demands
- Identify key target areas based on county breakdowns
- Assist and work with national, regional and local partners to enhance the outcomes
- Establish a new 'profile' encapsulating a marketing and promotions strategy
