Hampshire's "GolfMark Club of the Year" was justly rewarded for all its efforts to build and develop it's Junior Section by winning the South Downs League for 2011.
Said Mark Walker, Southwick Park's Junior Organisor " Obviously being the Hampshire GolfMark Club of the Year and being nominated for the National GolfMark Club 2011 award is something all the Club is very proud of. But we are also thrilled at how well our young players have done -having won many Junior Opens, achieved County elite status and now winning the South Downs League. It really has made all our efforts worthwhile".
BIG congratulations go to Mark Walker, Head Professional Eddie Rawlings and Coaching Professional Mark Dowdell. Don't think however that Southwick Park will be sitting on its laurels in 2012. With the support of Club Secretary James Lever and the rest of the Membership, the Club will be seeking to be even bigger and better in the year to come.
