Gavin Grenville-Wood joins Oak Park Golf Club having spent the last six
years in Hilton Head, South Carolina, USA. He moves to us from The
University of South Carolina where he was the Director of Golf, responsible
for the men’s and women’s golf teams and subsequent coaching
programmes. Prior to taking that role, Gavin was the Head Professional at
the Robert Trent Jones Course, in the Palmetto Dunes Resort on Hilton
Head Island. During his time in the States, Gavin had the opportunity to
study the teaching methods of David Leadbetter and Hank Haney first hand.
Before leaving for the States, Gavin lived in Wandsworth where he was the
Director of Instruction for the Central London Junior Golf Academy for 6
years. The Academy started in 1996 with just 6 children, and by 2002, there
were over 350 coming for lessons every week.
